Pizza Dough III

This recipe can be found at allrecipes.com. This recipe makes one cookie sheet pizza so I always double it.

1 pkg. active dry yeats (2 1/4 tsp.)
1 cup warm water
2 cups bread flour (I use regular white and sometimes wheat, I've never used bread flour)
2 Tbl. olive oil
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. white sugar
1 - 2 tsp. garlic powder (optional - my kids enjoy this crust more with it)

In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Let stand until creamy about 10 minutes.

In a large bowl, combine flour, olive oil, salt, white sugar, garlic pwd., and the yeast mixture; stir well. Stir well until a stiff dough has formed (you may have to add more flour, I usually end up adding at least 1 more cup). It's a stiff dough when it is only barely sticky. Cover and rise until doubled in volume, about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Turn dough out onto a well greased cookie sheet or pizza pan. Cover with your favorite sauce and toppings and bake in preheated oven until golden brown, about 22 minutes.

Sauce ideas: we've used the Ragu pizza sauce that comes in a jar (located in the pasta isle), tomato sauce with Italian seasoning added, or spaghetti sauce. Basically it's whatever we have on hand. Ya'll probably have yummier sauce recipes than I do. Enjoy!
